A practical, sequenced feature list (so we always know what “done” means).

  1. Adult-only UX foundationsPhase 0
    18+ confirmation, safe-browsing defaults, clear adult-content framing, and consistent “no minors” policy language sitewide.
  2. Accounts + identity basicsPhase 1
    Sign up / login, password reset, email verification, sessions, user profile, and basic security controls.
  3. Seller onboardingPhase 1
    Seller application, seller terms acceptance, payout destination, and any verification required to operate a seller-owned marketplace safely.
  4. Listings (create/edit) aligned to the schemaPhase 1
    Core listing fields: title, category, type (auction/fixed), price/starting bid, duration, condition, quantity, shipping options, tags, photos, and a seller-defined SKU/inventory key. Drafts, preview, and revise.
  5. Browse + categoriesPhase 1
    Real category tree, browse pages, “newly listed”, “ending soon”, and seller storefront pages (the stuff AdultStuffOnly.com needs to feel navigable and alive).
  6. Search + filtersPhase 1
    Keyword search across titles/tags/sellers + filters (format, price range, shipping region, condition, category). Sorting and pagination that don’t lie.
  7. Images + media handlingPhase 1
    Uploads, thumbnails, lazy loading, basic watermark option, and content flags for sensitive previews (while keeping adult collectors happy).
  8. Cart + deal flow (no on-site payments)Phase 2
    Add-to-cart as a “deal builder” UX: confirm items, shipping terms, and seller/buyer details, then generate an invoice + sale contract for off-platform payment between users.
  9. Auctions + biddingPhase 2
    Bid increments, bid history, anti-abuse controls, optional reserve/buyout, and a clean end-of-auction flow.
  10. Order / fulfillment trackingPhase 2
    Seller shipping workflow, labels/tracking, status changes, buyer notifications, and buyer-side order history (documentation-first).
  11. MessagingPhase 2
    Buyer↔seller messaging with moderation hooks (report, block, attachment limits). Keep it simple, keep it safe.
  12. Trust + marketplace safeguardsPhase 2
    Watchlists, saved searches, seller ratings/reviews (carefully), disputes workflow, and basic fraud controls.
  13. Moderation + compliance toolingPhase 2
    Reports queue, takedown workflow, repeat-offender controls, prohibited-content enforcement, and seller attestations for any required record-keeping.
  14. Fees, contracts, and invoicing (no escrow)Phase 3
    Platform fee rules + seller statements, and a clean paperwork trail: sale contract, invoice generation, receipts, and exportable records. Payments happen directly between buyer and seller; adults.exchange does not hold funds or run escrow.
  15. Power-seller toolsPhase 3
    Bulk listing, CSV import/export, APIs/hooks, inventory sync options, promos/markdowns, and listing templates that speed up serious sellers.
  16. Discovery + curationPhase 3
    Collections, featured sellers, editorial landing pages, and “related items” that’s lightweight and honest (no creepy magic).
